Team Lead 1: Professional Organizing and Hoarding Remediation Team Lead

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Professional Organizing and Hoarding Remediation Team Lead to join our team at A Clear Path. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our professional organizing and hoarding remediation services. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized plans to declutter and organize their homes, and you will lead a team of professional organizers and hoarding remediation specialists in executing these plans.

This is a part time on call position. A regular workday is 9am – 5:30pm and we operate 7 days a week.

Fun position, working with a team. We work with people with A LOT of clutter (home/office) but also severe hoarding situations. We also do moves/relocations within and around Los Angeles – the process is usually to de-clutter, pack, unpack and organize.

Packers, should have previous packing experience and to be able to pack boxes for moves and shipment.

We also need strong individuals to work on estate clear outs and hoarded homes, removing trash and loading dumpsters.

The best candidate has a kind heart, and compassion for the people who need us. Ideally you should be able to quickly assess complex clutter situations, untangle really terrible clutter, sort items into appropriate piles – all without judgment.

Flexible schedule. Work the days you are available.

Need to be available at least 3 days a week and some weekend days.

Must have a reliable car, and access to email.

  • Catalog for auctions and inventory
  • Unpack and organize homes and offices
  • Staging homes or an eye for interior design
  • Declutter crowded spaces

  • Withstand filthy conditions and smells

  • Hardworking & physically strong
  • Must have transport

You must be able to follow direction and work with a team. You also need a strong body (we lift heavy trash bags!), and an ability to withstand terrible smells (sometimes conditions are deplorable). Many of the homes are in filthy condition, and may have bugs and pests.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations onsite for our professional organizing and hoarding remediation services
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to declutter and organize clients’ homes
  • Lead a team of professional organizers and hoarding remediation specialists in executing these plans
  • Provide training and mentorship to new team members
  • Conduct initial assessments of clients’ homes to determine the scope of work for the day

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, human services or a minimum of 5 years of experience in professional organizing or hoarding remediation
  • Proven ability to develop and implement personalized plans to declutter and organize homes
  • Experience working with clients who have hoarding disorder or other mental health challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Team Lead 2: Professional Organizing and Senior Downsizing Team Lead

A Clear Path is seeking a compassionate and experienced Professional Organizing and Senior Downsizing Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in organizing and downsizing homes for seniors, as well as a strong understanding of the unique challenges and sensitivities that this process can entail.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of professional organizers in providing downsizing and organizing services to seniors
  • Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized downsizing plans
  • Create and implement downsizing strategies that are efficient, effective, and respectful of clients’ belongings and memories
  • Assist clients in decluttering, sorting, packing, and donating or discarding unwanted items
  • Oversee the organization of clients’ homes, including closets, kitchens, bathrooms, and other living spaces
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the downsizing process
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all downsizing projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as gerontology, social work, psychology or 5+ years of experience in professional organizing, with a focus on senior downsizing
  • Certified Professional Organizer (CPO) designation or equivalent would be useful
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of professional organizers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with seniors
  • Understanding of the emotional and physical challenges of downsizing
  • Ability to handle sensitive belongings with care
