Assistant 1: Professional Organizing Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and empathetic individual to join our team as a Professional Organizing Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with Senior Professional Organizers to assist clients in transforming their homes and lives through organization and clutter reduction. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • You must be able to follow direction and work with a team.
  • Sorting, decluttering, and organizing belongings
  • Creating systems and strategies for maintaining organization
  • Providing support and guidance to clients throughout the organizing process
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized organizing plans under the supervision of Lead Professional Organizers
  • Sort, declutter, and organize belongings according to established guidelines
  • Create systems and strategies for maintaining organization, such as labeling, filing, and storage solutions
  • Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the organizing process, including answering questions, offering encouragement, and celebrating milestones
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in organizing or a related field
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pack for a move
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to working with clients
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects

Assistant 2: Professional Organizing - Hoarding Remediation Assistant

Clear Path is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Professional Organizing - Hoarding Remediation Assistant to join our team. This position will play a critical role in assisting individuals with hoarding tendencies to create safe, organized, and clutter-free living spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hoarding disorder, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients in sensitive situations.

Fun position, working with a team. We work with people with A LOT of clutter (home/office) but also severe hoarding situations. We also do moves/relocations within and around Los Angeles - the process is usually to de-clutter, pack, unpack and organize.

Packers, should have previous packing experience and to be able to pack boxes for moves and shipment.

The best candidate has a kind heart, and compassion for the people who need us. Ideally you should be able to quickly assess complex clutter situations, untangle really terrible clutter, sort items into appropriate piles - all without judgment.

Flexible schedule. Work the days you are available.

Need to be available at least 3 days a week and some weekend days.

Must have a reliable car, and access to email.

  • Unpack and organize homes and offices
  • Staging homes or an eye for interior design

  • Withstand filthy conditions and smells

  • Must have transport

You must be able to follow direction and work with a team. You also need a strong body (we lift heavy trash bags!), and an ability to withstand terrible smells (sometimes conditions are deplorable). Many of the homes are in filthy condition, and may have bugs and pests.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Lead Professional Organizers in developing and implementing hoarding remediation plans
  • Provide hands-on support in sorting, organizing, and decluttering client belongings
  • Dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with safety protocols
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records of hoarding remediation activities
  • Collaborate with clients to establish and maintain boundaries and clear expectations
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients throughout the remediation process
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with hoarding tendencies or clutter issues
  • Strong understanding of hoarding disorder and its impact on individuals and families
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive situations
  • Willingness to work in challenging environments
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
